Grandma brought over a much anticipated pinata.
After whacking it several times, Jack asked, "Is this pinata made of metal?"
Adam finally brought the pinata to its ultimate ruin. Much to my happiness, Grandma had stuffed it with granola bars, fruit snacks, and rice krispie treats. I was delighted. Even though those items are still way too sugary- it was better than suckers and Skittles. Jack wasn't quite as impressed. As the somewhat "healthy" items exploded everywhere, Jack exlaimed in disappointment, "Awwww, granola bars?!?" He might as well have said, "Are you kidding me? Granola bars in a pinata?"

What a fun fiesta! The Nebeker's know how to party. Doing a pinata is a great idea... as a mom I am with you on the healthy treats inside, but as a consumer and lover of food I say bring on the treats :)
Too fun!
That was a great idea for the good snacks! We meant to do May Day baskets for some friends. Lia was so excited to make them with me but it was such a crazy day. We'll have to just make some for fun now!
Wish we were there for the party and your yummy food! you always make the best stuff!

What a fun day! My kids would have loved a pinata! Instead, we celebrated by going to Taco Bell!!!
Feliz Navidad!
Or something like that.
I went to Provo and didn't get to Cafe Rio. Sad.
Every time I pass Baja Fresh I think of you! What are you doing with your Wednesday nights now?!
that sounds like so much fun. Those enchiladas sound delicious. How about you make them again sometime for us. No pressure.
Our Cinco de Mayo consisted of take out at Taco Bell. We should have been a little more prepared.
I will have you know that at Preschool the next day Jack shared during Sharing Time his disppointment with the Granola bars and other items in the pinata. However he was very excited to have grandma & grandpa over, especially over the weekend?!
Always so impressed with your cooking abilities and ideas- We ate at Red Robin, pretty sad!
