Adam went in to check on the boys about 30 minutes later, and found Jack clutching and hugging it tightly- as if it were a teddy bear.
About two hours later, Adam went to check on the boys again. By this time, it had made its way back to Owen's bottom bunk, and was resting peacefully in his special blanket. They must have taken turns with Davy Jones. I'm sure they slept peacefully with visions of pirates in their heads.

I love when kids get attached to things. Mike and I should call Aidan "Linus" with the way he carries around his blanket. Davey Jones is comforting, even if he is a pirate.

What sweet brothers, sharing even in their sleep. How precious!
Oh I love your kids! They crack me up! Who knew a pirate could be so soothing...
Davy Jones is the last thing I could ever imagine snuggling with... but good for them for sharing, or for stealing so quietly that no one knew it :)
I would snuggle with the Orlando Bloom pirate figurine... Davy Jones, not so much.
Precious. I have a similar story about the boys here. Grant was sad without a pillow, so Ryan gave him HIS pillow. (This was years ago.) A few minutes later, we hear crying from the room. Ryan wanted his pillow back. So cute.
